Aircraft stored or maintained at SJH Aerocare are protected under a layered physical security program compliant with TSA general aviation requirements.

TSA-Approved Security Program

Full compliance with the Transportation Security Administration general aviation security program. All personnel undergo background vetting and badging.

Perimeter Fencing & Access Control

The Pinal Airpark perimeter is secured by chain-link and barbed wire fencing with controlled vehicle access points. SJH Aerocare maintains dedicated access credentials for all personnel.

24/7 Aircraft Watch

Aircraft inducted for storage or maintenance are monitored during non-work hours by trained facility security personnel. Entry logs are maintained per regulatory requirement.

Visitor & Contractor Management

All visitors and contractors must obtain advance authorization, present government-issued ID, and complete security briefing prior to ramp access.

How to Reach the Facility

Pinal Airpark is located at the junction of Jimmie Kerr Blvd and Airpark Rd, approximately 30 nautical miles northwest of Tucson International Airport (KTUS) and 65 nm southeast of Phoenix Sky Harbor (KPHX).

By Air: VFR and IFR traffic welcome. File to KMZJ. CTAF 122.8. No tower — UNICOM operations. Prior Permission Required (PPR) for first-time arrivals and after-hours operations. Contact our operations desk prior to departure.

By Road: Take I-10 to Exit 212 (Marana Road) westbound, then follow Jimmie Kerr Blvd north to the airpark entrance. Visitor parking at the main admin building.

Customs/CBP: KMZJ is not a designated Port of Entry. International arrivals must clear customs at a designated POE (e.g., KTUS or KPHX) prior to arriving at the facility.
